We’ve partnered with Jason and his crew of t-shirt wearers (you may know them better as the folks from I Wear Your Shirt), to remind everyone about the important role that recycling can have on the environment.

Though we’re based on Florida’s First Coast, we’ve helped organizations across Florida (and even in the Bahamas and Cuba), develop programs to keep recyclable items out of the landfill, reducing waste removal costs for our clients while helping them cut down on their environmental impact.

As part of today’s partnership, we’re offering new customers a chance to try out our waste audit services, as well as one month of free recycling services (based on that audit), to businesses in our service area who tell us that they saw us on I Wear Your Shirt.

We hope that you’ll join the I Wear Your Shirt crew today as they highlight some important facts about the big 3 (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and that you’ll consider partnering with us for your total recycling solution.

Save your Mother (Earth, that is)…Think Green!

Looking to save some money on your business this year?

In celebration of the New Year, we are adding confidential shredding and styrofoam recycling services to our repertoire. We now offer both on- and off-site shredding services, to help you save time and money. In addition to those services, we also offer free waste auditing assessments to help you determine how you could begin cutting down on your waste removal fees.

Every business, regardless of size, produces some (or all) of the items below and disposes of them through the trash because they don’t think they have enough of these materials to matter (no amount is too small), they don’t know how to collect them efficiently (we have varying sizes of containers), or they have others materials which they don’t know are recyclable (just ask).

We currently recycle the following materials which you may be trashing:

Office paper (all forms/color of paper materials including envelopes, folders, charts, junk mail, etc.)

Newspaper / Magazines / Phone books

Cardboard Cores from the center of rolls of material – all sizes

Corrugated Cardboard boxes

Shrink Wrap and plastic bags, plastic strapping, ask us about other plastic waste you might have

Plastic bottles and aluminum drink cans

Scrap metals (shelving, filing cabinets, waste from manufacturing process, car parts, garage doors, etc.)

Pallets and scrap wood (damaged or not)

We are always willing to work with our customers to provide the most comprehensive “total recycling solution” at an affordable cost. We look forward to hearing from you this year!

Block x Block, a new community clean-up initiative led by Brunet-García Multicultural Advertising & PR, kicked off today with a clean-up of Hendricks Avenue. The Block x Block campaign is a chic reminder that “Litter Just Isn’t Natural,”and their simple imperative “Start Something Clean” really resonates. No small wonder that local businesses like Clara’s Tidbits, b.b.’s, Basil Thai, Regions Bank, HighTide Burrito Co. and Paul Figura Photography were eager to sign on. We even joined in by providing containers and pick-up for all recyclable materials collected during the event.

The clean-up started at 2 p.m. on the corner of Cedar and Hendricks, with each company tackling the litter immediately surrounding their storefronts. Rumor has it that Clara’ Tidbits was able to collect 11 bags of trash in their slated section for the clean-up, as well as an untold number of cigarette butts (it’s truly distressing to see how many butts are thrown down carelessly by smokers).

The community clean-up initiative doesn’t stop there, however. The Block x Block campaign is encouraging participants to keep up the clean-up by sending out a weekly patrol to keep things clean. Here’s to a cleaner, greener future for the folks of Hendricks Avenue.
